Important Notice : Switzerland intends to join the Schengen visa scheme on 05. December 2008. From that date, persons requiring a Schengen visa to enter the Schengen States will also require a Schengen visa to enter Switzerland. Detailed information will be posted on this website as soon as available.
SOUTH AFRICAN PASSPORT HOLDERS DO NOT REQUIRE A VISA FOR BUSINESS AND / OR TOURISM PURPOSES FOR A MAXIMUM STAY OF 3 MONTHS IF THE DATE OF DEPARTURE FROM SWITZERLAND IS NOT LATER THAN 05 DECEMBER 2008. (I.E. A SCHENGEN OR SWISS VISA IS REQUIRED FOR VISITS TO SWITZERLAND AFTER THE 05 DECEMBER 2008)
