Bank Account

• Hi
  I am moving to Portugal in the near future and buying property there. Can I open a bank account to put money in to use for the purchases before I actually have an address in Portugal?

  Hi, Yes I have a bank account in Portugal, all my statements etc are posted to mu uk address.

  Hi, we did a simalar thing. to be honest we found the banks very eficent and friendly here. You will need a fiscal number, easy to obtain from the local tax office. We had are statements sent to the uk then changed to our portuguese address when we moved here. Milinium BCP have in our experiance been very good. Transfer your money in sterling to your portuguese bank account, far better exchange rate then offered by our uk bank/

  i wish to have an account in portuguese bank already i have my portuguese residence permit but planinig to travel from my country to portugal please give the best way of handlings this case. regards johnpaul
