Making calls

To call Kazakhstan from abroad or vice versa, you need to add certain dialing codes before the number. Here you can find the international and regional codes for Kazakhstan, and information on how to call abroad from inside the country. 

Calling from abroad

The country code for Kazakhstan is ‘+7’. When making a call to Kazakhstan from abroad, be sure to add the individual area code after as well. Including the area code, but excluding the country code, the total number of digits should equal 10. The area codes for the different regions of Kazakhstan are as follows:

Calling from Kazakhstan

Making an international phone call from Kazakhstan involves quite a few steps:

  1. Dial ‘8’ and wait for the dialtone to change
  2. Dial ‘10’  - the exit code for Kazakhstan
  3. Dial the country code of where you are calling
  4. Dial the phone number
