Estate agents in Angola

How to find them

Estate agents in Angola

When searching for a property you will need an estate agency to help make locating your perfect property easier. In fact, some customers will use more than one estate agent simultaneously to get a full view of their options.

When dealing with an estate agency you should definitely check that they are legitimate and visit the office to get a full idea of their background. Contacting your home embassy, consulate or chamber of commerce in Angola and asking for a list of their recommended estate agents is a good way to ensure that the company is legitimate and provides a good service.

It is also highly recommended that you visit the area where you decide to buy your property without the estate agent, so that you get your own idea of the location. If possible visit the area during the day and at night as the atmosphere can change a lot between daylight and after night falls.

Leading real estate and construction companies in Angola include Brazilian companies such as Carmargo Correa  and Odebrecht . International real estate agent Century21  has also recently opened an office in Luanda. You should check the agency fee and commission before deciding on an estate agent as agency fees can vary.

Most international real estate agents focus on Luanda, where a third of Angola’s population live. However, in recent years, expats have started to leave the capital and move to other cities such as Huambo, Soyo, Lobito and Benguela.
